Brad Kolar has always felt a strong connection to Judaism, but it was in his early 20s that his faith truly deepened. Rabbi Joseph Telushkin’s book Jewish Literacy, a gift from his aunt, sparked that growth. As he read, Brad discovered clear explanations for many beliefs and feelings he had long held but could not recall being explicitly taught. He realized that Judaism was deeply rooted in his soul, inspiring him to make a conscious commitment to learn, grow, and live more intentionally as a Jew.
For Brad, real connection comes from creation. Listening to and reading others’ ideas provides a foundation, but shaping those ideas into one’s own words and insights is where the true magic lies. Writing has always been Brad’s most natural form of expression. Ten Days reflects the merging of his love for Judaism with his love for the written word.
Outside of his spiritual and creative pursuits, Brad is an executive consultant and founder of Avail Advisors. He works with leaders to improve decision-making by blending data, communication, and strategic insight.
Brad has been married to his high school sweetheart, Peggy, for over 30 years. Together they have two amazing adult children, Zak and Rebecca and two poorly trained dogs who get away with much more than they should.
